National Weather Service Issues “Small Dog Warning”

By Michelle Mitchell Feb 15, 2019 | 10:51 AM

The National Weather Service issued a “small dog warning” earlier this week in parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania. When I heard this, I assumed yorkies and chihuahuas were going to fall from the sky, but not quite…

Northern Ohio was experiencing 50 mph wind gusts and along with the Wind Advisory issued, dogs were specifically pointed out as needing protection– as they could be blown away. They even included a flying dog in their twitter graphic *face palm*! (see image here)

As of Friday, all is well, and none of Ohio’s small dogs were affected.
