I LOVE to hear stories of celebs with humble beginnings. It gives me hope– like, maybe one day I COULD BE Meghan Markle! Here’s a list of crazy gigs some very famous people have on their resume:
- Taylor Swift: The country singer grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Wyomissing, PA. She was too small to cut down the trees by herself, so her dad put her in charge of picking off the praying mantis nests from the branches. #ew
- Cardi B: Okurrrr! Talk about crazy beginnings. Cardi worked as a cashier at Manhattan’s Amish Market while taking classes at a local community college. Turns out, her boss actually told her to drop out and start stripping to make more money.
- Meghan Markle: Ugh, I was totally hoping her first job would be slingin sandwiches at a Jimmy John’s or something, but no. Of course it’s something ridiculous and sophisticated. She took a handwriting class in high school so she became a calligraphist to make a few extra bucks while trying to make it as an actress.
- Hugh Jackman: worked behind the counter at a 7-11. Uhm, I would be a regular customer.
- Jennifer Aniston: Before her big break on Friends, she worked as a waitress and cleaned toilets to earn her allowance!
