One of the earliest viral memes to take the internet by storm, “Grumpy Cat,” has died at the age of 7.
The feline’s family broke the news early this morning via Facebook saying, “We are unimaginably heartbroken to announce the loss of our beloved Grumpy Cat.”
Tardar Sauce (her given name) developed a urinary tract infection she never recovered from. She had feline dwarfism which contributed to her unique, “grumpy” appearance, and also contributed to various health complications.
RIP, Grumpy!
