Sesame Street introduced the newest muppet on the block– Karli, a young girl going through foster care with her ‘for now’ parents, Dalia and Clem.
Her debut is part of the “Sesame Street in Communities” program that provides free resources for caregivers, social workers and community providers, in which Sesame Street characters teach lessons. They’ve tackled homelessness and traumatic experiences and now foster care, thanks to Karli!
