Saying 'I Love You' Isn't Enough: 5 Key Phrases to Use

Of course we’ve all heard communication is the key to a healthy relationship. According to relationship experts, sometimes that means saying a few key phrases to boost the other person up. Here’s the gist:

5. “I was wrong, you were right.” Everyone messes up, but if you don’t own it, that creates resentment. The ‘you were right’ part is especially important 😉

4. “I’m so lucky to be with you.” It’s important for your partner to hear they are valued!

3. “How can I help?” Don’t try to read their minds and try to fix something, ask them! And sometimes, things can’t be fixed, but it helps to listen.

2. “Tell me about it..” Yep, ya gotta play therapist and again, just listen to what they’re dealing with. Are you noticing a pattern?

  1. “I like you just the way you are.” Don’t try to change your partner! Accept them– warts and all. Plus you’ll earn a few brownie points for the compliment. -Taylor
