How the First Sports Bra was Created

Find a good bra is hard. Complicate things even more with the search for a good sports bra. What is really interesting is how the first sports bra was created. It was the late 70s, and the athletic Lisa Lindahl was annoyed with running in her regular underwire bra. As you can imagine, it was uncomfortable and wouldn’t stay in place. The guys had is way easier, after a workout just take the shirt off. The challenge was to create something that fit well and was cool. Lisa’s husband joking put his jockstrap to his chest. Surprising he had found a solution. Two jockstraps together equal the first bra. Who would have thought? This summer marks the 40 Anniversary of this invention that we are are grateful for and has come so far.
