Lawsuit brought by opponents of scrapped Helping Hands project dropped

A lawsuit brought by opponents of Helping Hands of Springfield’s now-abandoned plans to develop a homeless center on the city’s east side has been dismissed.An order of dismissal was signed by Sangamon County Circuit Judge Gail Noll on Tuesday after Helping Hands and the plaintiffs, led by the Pioneer Park Homeowner’s Association, agreed to settle the case.
