Diddy has denied that he was fat-shaming Lizzo on his Instagram Live session on Sunday (April 12th). During his Dance-A-Thon, Lizzo started twerking and Diddy cut things short and asked to “play something a little bit family-friendly” but allowed Draya Michele to twerk to Juvenile's “Back Dat Azz Up.”
Diddy said, “There’s one thing I want to make clear. My queen, my sister Lizzo when I stopped the music it’s because it had a lot of curses in there. Not because she was twerking. She’s one of the best twerkers in the world. Ok, lets keep that clear.”
He continued, “It wasn’t about twerking, you’re allowed to twerk on Easter. It was about, it was a lot cursing in the record and I don’t need child services knocking on my door right now. You understand. That’s why we stopped the record. Lizzo we love you. Everybody stop looking for the negative.”
