Crayola is launching a new line of crayons representing a variety of skin tones from around the globe. The Colors of the World boxes have 24 different shades with names like Light Golden, Deep Almond and Medium Deep Rose.
“With the world growing more diverse than ever before, Crayola hopes our new Colors of the World crayons will increase representation and foster a greater sense of belonging and acceptance,” Crayola CEO Rich Wuerthele said in a press release. “We want the new Colors of the World crayons to advance inclusion within creativity and impact how kids express themselves.”
The new box set will be available in July and even includes a coloring book featuring landmarks and characters from around the world. (Huffington Post)
