Nicki Minaj has come under fire for choosing to do a song with Tekashi 6ix9ine — who was recently released from prison after cooperating with federal prosecutors and also received four years probations for using a child in a sexual performance. After announcing that “Trollz” will be released on Friday (June 12th), Nicki revealed on Instagram that a portion of the proceeds from the song will be going “directly to The Bail Project Inc. The fund provides free bail assistance to low-income individuals who can’t afford to pay bail while awaiting their trial.”

She continued, “We want to protect and support the thousands of brave people working on the front lines of social justice, using their voices to demand AN END to the targeting and killing of Black Americans by the police. #BlackLivesMatter.”

Of course, social media had a lot to say. One person tweeted, “nicki rly gonna keep working w the racist pedophile w a lace front huh.”

Another person tweeted, “Nicki Minaj is married to an alleged pedophile, she collabed with 6ix9ine when it was well known he was a r*pist and is doing it again also she keeps dragging other women in the industry, she keeps using f word to denigrate gays. She is CANCELLED and so are her disgusting fans.”

DJ Akademiks tweeted, “Nicki Minaj probably one of the only artists who could have been the first to feature with 6ix9ine… after all she been thru… also mixed with the fact she's a legend.. she pretty much can't be cancelled… plus her fan base too strong. Will see if there is peer backlash tho..”
