Springfield, Illinois made the top of Business Insiders’ predictions of most livable American cities ‘post-pandemic’. They considered things like: employment rates, cost of living and how much stuff there’s to do.
Jefferson City, Missouri was 2nd, followed by Fargo, North Dakota, then Bloomington ranked 4th on the list for:
The share of jobs that could be done from home in Bloomington is 39.4%, and 72.2% of households spend less than 30% of their income on housing; both shares are higher than in most metro areas.
Other Illinois cities on the list include: Champaign (5), Peoria (28), and Danville (30).
