Man arrested in relation to shooting death in city Tuesday

Springfield Police detectives have made an arrest in relation to the shooting death of Willie C. Evans early Tuesday morning.Martin A. Brown, 26, of Springfield was arrested late Tuesday on charges of being an armed habitual offender, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.Brown is in the custody of the Sangamon County Jail.
