Hasbro Pulled a “Trolls” Doll . . . Because It Promoted Inappropriate Touching?

Hasbro says they’re pulling a “Trolls” doll from shelves, over people’s complaints that it promotes inappropriate touching.

(Careful)  The doll has a button between her legs under a skirt . . . and when you press it, the doll gasps and giggles, and says things like “Whee!” and “Oh!”

This is one of those rare cases where the parents AREN’T overreacting. . . it’s very hard to believe this doll made it into stores in the first place.

Naturally, Hasbro says nothing sexual was intended.  A spokesperson said, quote, “This feature was designed to react when the doll was SEATED, but we recognize the placement of the sensor may be perceived as inappropriate.

“This was not intentional and we are happy to provide consumers with a replacement Poppy doll of similar value through our consumer care team.  We’re in the process of removing the item for purchase.”

If you have this product . . . well, you’d probably know.  But the full name is:  The “Trolls World Tour Giggle and Sing Poppy.”

It’s unclear how long the toy has been out, but the “Trolls World Tour” movie came out in April.  The toy started to go viral this week after a customer shared her concerns in a video on social media.

An online petition was launched, which claims the doll is, quote, “conditioning our children to think pedophilia is okay.”

Last we checked, it had more than 250,000 signatures.
