Does the fact that this idea came from a woman make it less sexist?
A female writer for “Mel” magazine recently wrote an article that claims you’ll burn more calories if you wash your car in a BIKINI.
There’s not much science to back it up. But she thinks it makes sense. Here’s why . . .
According to WebMD, washing your car for 30 minutes burns about 135 calories if you weigh 125 pounds. Or 200 calories if you weight 185 pounds.
But when you wash your car in normal clothes, you’re worried about getting wet. So you’re a little more cautious and move slower.
But when you’re in a bathing suit, you don’t care if you get wet. So you can really get into it and move around more.
She admits it might not make a huge difference, but calories are calories.
