The Street Outside Staples Center Will Be Renamed Kobe Bryant Boulevard

This past Sunday would’ve been KOBE BRYANT’s 42nd birthday . . . and yesterday was 8/24, the two numbers Kobe wore for the Lakers.  That’s now recognized as Kobe Bryant Day in Los Angeles and Orange County.

And the city of Los Angeles paid tribute by announcing that the street outside Staples Center would be renamed “Kobe Bryant Boulevard.”  It’s a portion of a road called Figueroa Street.

Also, the Lakers wore special “Black Mamba” uniforms for Game Four of their playoff series against the Portland Trail Blazers last night.
