RALPH MACCHIO was an up-and-coming star in the ’80s, alongside Tom Cruise, Michael J. Fox, Matthew Broderick, and Rob Lowe.

Even though he’s famous for the “Karate Kid” movies, he was also in “The Outsiders”, “Eight Is Enough”, “Crossroads”, and “My Cousin Vinny”.

But in the early ’90s, Ralph prioritized FAMILY over Hollywood stardom . . . he married his high school sweetheart, and they have two kids. And he doesn’t regret that decision.

In an interview with “The Guardian”, he said, quote, “If I’d been trying to grab that gold ring every chance, maybe I would’ve had more [jobs], but I couldn’t get to them because I was watching a baseball game back in my home town.

“I wasn’t the biggest risk-taker . . . and I’m sure there were lost opportunities because of that. But also, maybe my caution helped me to stay grounded, so I’m at peace with the choices I made.”

Ralph never completely abandoned acting, but he only has a handful of notable credits over the past 28 years, including roles on “Ugly Betty”, “The Deuce”, and of course the BRILLIANT “Karate Kid” show, “Cobra Kai”.
