Andy Grammer is giving fans a chance to create a brand new song with him on TikTok. He challenged fans to write the lyrics to a melody he created on the spot – using just his guitar and his beat-boxing skills. “Yo. Let’s write a song on TikTok,” Andy said. The challenge presents a unique opportunity for aspiring songwriters and singers, he noted, adding that he’ll “post my favorites.” On Tuesday, he posted a submission from aspiring artist Savannah Outen. Andy transcribed Outen’s emotional lyrics, which are about realizing the romantic undercurrent of a friendship but feeling nervous about acting upon it.
SABRINA BRYAN WELCOMES DAUGHTER COMILLIA MONROE: Former Cheetah Girls alum Sabrina Bryan welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with husband Jordan Lundberg this week. “Comillia Monroe Lundberg made her debut August 31, 2020 at 2:03 am and our hearts are forever changed,” Sabrina shared the news on her social media pages. Sabrina’s daughter will go by her middle name, Monroe, which is a family tradition on her mother’s side. Sabrina’s first name is actually Reba.
FINNEAS HONORS THOSE WHO’VE LOST SOMEONE TO COVID-19 WITH ‘WHAT THEY’LL SAY ABOUT US’: Finneas has released a new song called “What They’ll Say About Us.” Finneas says he wrote the song after participating in a Black Lives Matter protest in June. He adds that the track was also inspired by Broadway performer Nick Cordero, who died at age 41 of complications from COVID-19. “What They’ll Say About Us” follows Finneas’ 2019 debut EP, Blood Harmony, which includes the single “Let’s Fall in Love for the Night.”
