Green Day's alleged side project, The Network, have released a new song called “We Told You So.” Green Day members, including Billie Joe Armstrong, have denied being associated with The Network.
In addition to the new song, The Network is getting ready to release their second album, the followup to 2003's Money Money 2020, which will be titled Money Money 2020 Part II. “We Told You So” is the lead release.
NME reports that Green Day's Armstrong posted a clip of the visuals to his Instagram Stories writing “What in the actual f***??,” while tagging The Network in his post. In another video he wrote, “The Network is not GD.” He added additional comments including “I don’t know who this is. And we are not @thenetwork,” as well as “This @thenetwork definitely NOT GREEN DAY.”
