Last week, we heard that the cast of “Dazed and Confused” smoked up all the weed in Austin, Texas. Well, one guy who had NOTHING to do with that was BEN AFFLECK.
He says, quote, “I had a bad experience with marijuana at 15. I had a dissociative panic attack. So I only smoked weed if everyone else was smoking and I had to sort of Bill Clinton it and fake it. I didn’t really like marijuana.”
Believe it or not, Ben didn’t even drink much back then. Quote, “I became an alcoholic much, much later and I’m in recovery now, so that was a whole different time.”
One thing he did do to blow off steam was go to shooting ranges. Apparently, a lot of the stars were surprised how lax the gun laws were in Texas, so they bought guns and spent weekends at the ranges.
But he says, quote, “[It] seemed fun and innocent at the time, but given the subsequent tragedies with young people and guns, it makes me uncomfortable to remember.”
