It has been reported that Donald Trump has officially pardoned rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black. According to Reuters, Trump officially signed the paperwork last night (January 19th) at 11:30 pm EST.
Reporter David Shepardson tweeted, “Trump pardoned rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black who were prosecuted on federal weapons offenses, as well as former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who was serving a 28-year prison term on corruption charges, a senior administration official said.”
As previously reported, Wayne pled guilty to illegal possession of a firearm in December 2020. He was facing 10 years in prison. hile, Kodak Black is currently in prison for falsifying documents in order to buy a firearm. He was arrested on the charge in May 2019 and was sentenced to 46 months in prison in November 2019.
