Some states have an ‘Official State Beverage.’ No this isn’t an alcoholic beverage, rather a drinking like milk or cranberry juice.
Ohio, Virginia, Kentucky all have milk as theirs. Nebraska list milk as their beverage, but also have Kool-aid as their official ‘soft drink.’
So what about Illinois, do we have one? The answer is no sadly.
So we don’t have an official beverage but The Daily Meal says we have Signature Cocktail. And that would be Malort (aka The Swedish Seed). Yeah, that bitter bitter demon juice your so-called friends dare you to shoot on a night of one-too-many drinks.
