SELENA GOMEZ wants to be taken seriously as an artist . . . or she’s giving up music altogether. Well, maybe.
In a new “Vogue“ interview, she says, quote, “It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously. I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’
“‘Lose You to Love Me’ I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people it still wasn’t enough . . . I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music.”
But later on she was asked if she was serious about that, and she said, quote, “I need to be careful.” She added that she wants to, quote, “give myself a real shot at acting.”
Right now she’s filming a series for Hulu called “Only Murders in the Building”, co-starring STEVE MARTIN and MARTIN SHORT.
Take a look at her new video, and see if you can take her serious after watching it.
