The True Story of a Beer Run During the Vietnam War Is Being Made Into a Movie

RUSSELL CROWE and ZAC EFRON will star in “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” . . . and BILL MURRAY is also in talks to join the cast.

It’s based on a book about a guy who left New York in 1967 and traveled to Vietnam to share some beers with old friends who were serving in the war.  And it’s a TRUE STORY.  (???)

It’s being directed by Peter Farrelly, who did “Green Book”, as well as the classic comedies “There’s Something About Mary”, “Dumb and Dumber”, and “Kingpin” . . . which Bill Murray was in.
