Whole Lotta Love, Crazy Train top ‘Greatest Guitar Riff’ poll

Total Guitar and Guitar World magazines conducted a poll to figure out the greatest guitar riff of all time. The usual suspects were included in terms of artists/bands: Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Ozzy, Metallica, Hendrix.

Here’s the top 10:

  1. “Whole Lotta Love” – Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page)
  2. “Crazy Train” – Ozzy Osbourne (Randy Rhoads
  3. “Back in Black” – AC/DC (Angus Young)
  4. “Smoke on the Water” – Deep Purple (Ritchie Blackmore)
  5. “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” – Van Halen (Eddie Van Halen)
  6. “Enter Sandman” – Metallica (Kirk Hammett)
  7. “Iron Man” – Black Sabbath (Tony Iommi)
  8. “Walk” – Pantera (Dimebag Darrell)
  9. “La Grange” – ZZ Top (Billy Gibbons)
  10. “Purple Haze” – Jimi Hendrix
