The ’90s were good to VANILLA ICE. For a minute, anyway. So it’s not surprising that he thinks they were, quote, “the greatest decade ever before computers ruined the world.”
Ice claims that pop culture has been DEAD since the iPhone came out in 2004. It actually came out in 2007, but close enough.
Asked what he’d bring back from the ’90s if he could, he chose BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO.
He said, quote, “I used to love to get out of my house . . . and make an adventure of going and reading all the VHS, the back of it, and see which one I wanted to come home and watch that night.”
Asked what he WOULDN’T bring back, he didn’t really have an answer. He suggested possibly the whole “shaving the eyebrow” thing he used to do, but said it’s something he might still do today.
(Ice said all this from the set of a commercial for a hot dog company, where he was apparently going to sing a parody song called “Baby Got Buns”. Here’s video.)
