Attention K-Mart shoppers there’s an audio Blue Light special! If you were fortunate enjoy the glory days of K-Mart you know the music that played over the speakers. Well, someone kept those tapes sent down from the head office when they’d be changed out… and upload them online.
Mark Davis worked at a Naperville, IL location in the late 80s and early 90s. He was behind the service desk aka where the tape machine was. Instead of pitch those tapes in the trash he felt like keeping them.
Those tapes have been uploaded to the Internet Archive for all to enjoy and relive their strolls through the store… and maybe sipping on an Slurpee.
