TERRIFIER: Slasher Flick Making People Sick

People are passing out and throwing up all over the country and it’s not from the flu or COVID. It’s from Terrifier 2.

The new Damien Leone-directed horror flick, a sequel to the 2016 movie, is so extremely gruesome that moviegoers have reported cases of people vomiting and passing out. Leone views that as a success, telling Entertainment Weekly, “Listen, I would have loved to have a couple of walkouts, I think that’s sort of a badge of honor because it is an intense movie. I don’t want people fainting, getting hurt during the movie. But it’s surreal.”

One of the film’s producers tweeted last week, warning “This movie contains scenes of graphic violence and brutal depictions of horror. Viewers who are faint of heart, prone to light headedness or have weak stomachs are advised to take extreme caution. There have already been numerous instances of fainting and vomiting in theaters. For those choosing to continue, you’ve been warned.” The low-budget movie about a sadistic clown named Art the Clown cost just $250,000 to make but has already earned $2.3 million in just 700 screens nationwide.
