The list recognizes George Straight’s country ballad”Troubadour,” John Prine’s hit “When I Get to Heaven,” Alison Krauss + Gillian Welch’s cover of “I'll Fly Away,” Willie Nelson’s poetic tribute to friendship in “Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground. Of the ranked list of the top 30 best funeral songs, The Carter Family’s 1963 country-gospel version of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” took the prize as the number one best funeral song.
