Job Summary
As a Video Storyteller in Springfield, Illinois, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, shooting, and editing high-quality videos including promotional videos, ad for our clients, and information and entertainment videos for our consumers. You will also play a crucial role in collaborating with the team to plan and execute video content centered around local events.

Responsibilities
Video Production & Editing
- In collaboration with the team, conceptualize, plan, and execute video shoots.
- Ensure videos are delivered on time while maintaining quality standards.
- Create captivating commercials using stock footage, integrating them seamlessly with original content when necessary.
- Select appropriate stock footage to align with the commercial’s message and target audience.
- Edit stock footage to create compelling and persuasive commercial content.
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, visually appealing videos.
- Apply video effects, transitions, and graphics to enhance the video’s visual appeal.
- Optimize audio quality through sound editing and mixing.
- Operate camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording devices to capture good quality footage.
- Manage pre-production tasks working with the local team and with clients.
- Coordinate resources effectively during shoots.
Local Event and Promotional Videos
- Participate in regular planning meetings with the local team with the goal of creating a ongoing plan to incorporate video storytelling into more of what we do.
- Collaborate with the local team to develop a video content plan that aligns with local initiatives.
- Execute video projects that highlight local events, promotions, and community engagement.
Commercial Videos
- Work directly with sales teams and clients to create ads for our clients for various platforms including but not limited to streaming platforms, social media, and broadcast TV.
Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain and organize video production equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
- Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements as needed.
Post Production and Distribution
- Export videos in various formats suitable for web, social media, and other marketing channels.
- Meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Strong video production and editing skills, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
- Familiarity with basic video equipment and audio recording devices.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, visual composition, and cinematic techniques.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative video concepts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of current video trends and best practices in digital marketing.
- Able to meet deadlines and retains composure in a fast-paced environment with last minute-changes.
- Must be professional in appearance and manner and able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients.
- Coachable and open to hearing and implementing constructive criticism.
- Is an excellent verbal and written communicator.
- Demonstrates creativity and imagination.
