Tyler, the Creator announced on Thursday that he is pulling out of his upcoming festival headlining sets at Lollapalooza in Chicago and Outside Lands in San Francisco. Tyler shared this announcement via X: “i hate saying this but i have to cancel lollapalooza and outside lands. i made a commitment that i can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were. that is not sexy at all. please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. love.” Both festivals moved fast to announce replacement headliners, with Megan Thee Stallion taking Tyler’s slot at Lollapalooza on Thursday, August 1, and Sabrina Carpenter now headlining Outside Lands on Saturday, August 10. No reason has been given for Tyler’s cancellation, but he was able to perform at Kendrick Lamar’s Juneteenth concert on Wednesday night. (Consequence of Sound)
