During Brantley Gilbert’s show at Cadence Bank Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi on Friday night (October 11), the country star had a legitimate excuse to leave the stage mid-performance. His wife, Amber Cochran Gilbert, went into labor during the show and gave birth to the couple’s third child on the tour bus. Gilbert shared an Instagram video on Saturday, documenting what he says “might have been the craziest night of my life.” Gilbert had just started his set when he was informed of an “emergency backstage,” as the musician ran to be with his wife. “Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget,” Gilbert writes. “Thank you to our road family for rallying around us.” After making sure their baby boy and Amber were doing well, and taking time to call their familiy to share the happy news, Gilbert returned to the stage and proudly announced to the enthusiastic crowd, “We got a baby!” before finishing his set.
