Carrie Underwood ended up doing “America the Beautiful” a cappella thanks to a technical glitch at the inauguration.  Pretty much everyone online thought she handled it well though.

The backing track started but stopped, and everyone had to wait.  Eventually, you could see her tell someone, “I can just sing it.”  Then she encouraged people to sing along and launched into it.  (Here’s the video.)

“The Daily Mail” claims she had a “mini HISSY FIT” afterward.  They quoted an unnamed source who said she was “dissatisfied” with the performance, and not just because of the glitch.  She was also expecting more of a STAGE.

Quote, “She felt that she was not afforded the same level of respect or admiration that previous performers, such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, had received.”

They said she was annoyed she was just on the floor and didn’t even have a platform or anything.  The event got moved inside last-minute because of the cold, so that changed things up.

The source said she saved it from being “a total disaster” though, and was proud of how she handled it.
