March Madness is underway. Did you fill out your bracket? Well you prolly only have seconds to turn it in.
Around one in six Americans planned to this year . . . and it’s a lot easier when you know NOTHING about basketball.
A poll found our top strategies for filling out brackets include “hunches,” “vibes,” and whatever our friends think.
18% of Americans think they follow basketball closely enough to make good picks, and another 16% have “limited knowledge.” So together, that’s a third.
Everyone else is just winging it: 23% said their top strategy is asking friends or family for help . . . 14% choose winners based on “hunches” . . . and 22% said just whatever “vibes” they’re feeling. (For Example Like, “Ooh, I like their colors.”)
Around one in 10 said they sometimes make picks based on the team’s mascot.
