First Gene Simmons offered his fans the opportunity to spend a day as his roadie for $12,500. Now JoJo Siwa is doing something similar. But she’s a bargain compared to Gene.
On her upcoming North American Tour, JoJo is selling a “Dream Guest VIP” option for $900.
She says, quote, “You are actually going to get to come during while we’re loading in the show, and you’re gonna get to kind of help us set it up and make sure things are right and test out the drum with me or the DJ booth with me.”
You also apparently get some input on the set list for that night’s show. Plus you get a meet-and-greet, autographed memorabilia, and, unlike with Gene’s offer, the ticket price is INCLUDED.
Both of these packages sound more like FUN than work. And in a new interview, Gene defended his “roadie-for-a-day” package.
Quote, “When I was a kid and went to see shows, I was always curious, ‘What’s it like when they’re in a hotel? What’s it like when the stage is set up?
“What’s it like being onstage when they’re performing and seeing the audience from the stage?’
“I decided, ‘You know what, nobody’s ever done it. Why not open the idea to be my personal roadie for the day?'”
