Springfield Public Works issues reminder of branch pickup schedule

The City of Springfield’s Department of Public Works is issuing a reminder to residents that the next round of branch pickup for 2025 will begin on Monday, April 7.

This program, conducted in quadrants, provides residents with a scheduled week for collection. Residents must have their branches curbside by 7:00 AM on their designated pickup week.

2025 April Branch Pickup Schedule by Quadrant:

  • April 7- Northwest Quadrant (North of South Grand Avenue and Old Jacksonville Road, and West of Walnut Street/J David Jones Parkway)
  • April 14- Southwest Quadrant (South of South Grand Avenue and Old Jacksonville Road, West of Walnut Street)
  • April 21-Southeast Quadrant (South of South Grand Avenue, and East of Walnut Street, including properties around Lake Springfield)
  • April 28- Northeast Quadrant (North of South Grand Avenue, and East of Walnut Street/J David Jones Parkway)

Residents can also drop off branches year-round at Evans Recycling, located at 2100 J David Jones Parkway. Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, is required. For additional information, contact Evans Recycling at (217)-370-3780.
