Springfield is getting a flavorful new addition to the downtown area with the grand opening of The Railyard – a vibrant outdoor space whose goals are set to become a hub for food lovers and community gatherings.

Emily Lewis and her husband Tim – best known for their time running Three Twigs & Co. took over the venue in early 2025 and are looking forward to scaling back their operations from running a full-service restaurant and bakery to focusing on one permanent fixture of The Railyard – an inside space for drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and tasty treats called The Drinking Well.
While Lewis has hung up her Three Twigs apron, Kaitlan Moenck is officially launching her new bakery named Best Day Ever BakeShop — which can be found inside with The Drinking Well.
The remainder of the space will be leased out to local food vendors.

In addition to The Drinking Well – the outdoor space will offer a selection of local food vendors, craft beverages, and live entertainment. Current occupants include El Dorado, The Stadium Smokehouse, The Meatball Guy, and Froggie’s Groovy Goodies.

The relaunch of The Railyard marks a new chapter in Springfield’s revitalization efforts – promising to bring fresh energy and flavor to the heart of Springfield.

Operating hours are Wednesday through Friday from 4:00PM-9:00PM and Saturday from 11:00AM-9:00PM.
