On Wednesday (May 21), Paul Weller announced the details of his upcoming covers album, Find El Dorado, which is set to be released on July 25. The collection – which is described as “less a covers album and more a map of [Weller’s] emotional and musical DNA – features The Jam/The Style Council legend performing a diverse selection of tracks from artists such as the Bee Gees, The Kinks, Richie Havens, The Flying Burrito Brothers, and more. The record also features contributions from guest musicians including Robert Plant, Noel Gallagher, Declan O’Rourke, and orchestration from Hannah Peel on several tracks. “These are songs I’ve carried with me for years,” Weller said in a statement. “They’ve taken on new shapes over time. And now felt like the moment to share them.” This release marks Weller’s first covers album since 2004’s Studio 150, and comes nearly a year after his last album, 66, which was released one day before his 66th birthday in 2024.
