The Artist Spotlight highlighted Black Satellite today with their new single, “Downfall.” Here is what lead singer Larissa Vale had to share about the track:
“‘Downfall’ casts a light on the complexities of dealing with a really toxic person in your life and all the needless destruction and collateral damage created as a result,” the singer explains. “It’s really about reaching your absolute breaking point where you don’t even have the energy to stand up for yourself anymore. It’s kind of the sentiment of ‘If you’re going down, then I guess I am too.’ Essentially giving in to the fight because it’s completely eaten you alive to the point where there’s nothing left.”
