Dana-Thomas House gets new rugs as DTHF donates thousands of dollars towards renovation of historic Springfield landmark

The Dana-Thomas House Foundation has donated nearly $49,000 to buy and install historically appropriate rugs for the Springfield historic site.

The foundation formally presented the donation on Wednesday afternoon. Architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Dana-Thomas House in 1902.

The home contains more than 100 pieces of Wright-designed furniture and more than 250 art glass artifacts.

The site is open year-round for free public tours.
