AAA reports that the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Illinois is about 8 cents higher than it was a week ago.

The survey shows the current state average price is $3.43, up from $3.35 a week ago and $3.38 one year ago.

The national average is $3.16.

The current average price in the Springfield region is $3.15, about the same as last week.
