Governor JB Pritzker set to announce candidacy for third gubernatorial term on Thursday at Chicago event; will be in Springfield later this evening

Governor JB Pritzker plans to announce his candidacy for a third term today at an event in Chicago, followed by stops around the state, including Springfield this evening, according to sources close to the campaign.

Pritzker is the first person to run for a third term as governor since Jim Thompson in 1982.
