Thanks for checking out SportsRadio1450.com and my first blog entry.
In case you are not familiar with me, I grew up in Petersburg and graduated from PORTA High School. I attended SIU-Edwardsville and got my Communications degree with the hope of getting into sports broadcasting.
After spending time as a producer at KMOX Radio in St.Louis and working as the “gopher” in the KMOX Cardinals radio booth at Busch Stadium, I got my first on air experience in Taylorville at WTIM and WMKR. Then it was off to cover Notre Dame football at WSBT Radio in South Bend. I worked at WSBT for 26 years calling Notre Dame hockey, South Bend Cubs baseball and high school sports. I also hosted a daily sports show, Notre Dame football pre and post game shows and was a fill in sideline reporter on the Notre Dame Football Radio Network.
I joined the Sports Radio 1450 staff on July 1, 2024. I was really excited to get back home to be with family and friends plus cover local sports in this market. It is a great sports market. Now I’m honored to host The Morning Huddle from 6-9am weekdays on Sports Radio 92.3fm and 1450am.
