Three Chicago area lawmakers are possible candidates for next year’s election for Illinois comptroller.
Susana Mendoza announced this week she would not seek re-election to the state post, saying she would “leave the door open” for a run for Chicago mayor in 2027.
Capitol News Illinois reports State Representative Margaret Croke, Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim and state senator Karina Vila could mount bids for comptroller.
Mendoza will join WMAY’s PM Springfield with Patrick Pfingsten this afternoon after 3:30.
