Firefighters responded twice during the past weekend for blazes at a salvage yard near Alexander.
Jacksonville firefighters said a tire-shredding machine ignited Friday afternoon with flames spreading to tires covering about an acre.
Firefighters returned to the scene for a flare-up on Saturday.
