Two police officers were injured by gunfire early Saturday while responding to call of a naked man in Gibson City.
Illinois State Police were looking for the suspected shooter, 70-year-old David Jordan of Gibson City. A house at the scene caught fire at about the same time as the shooting. Fire spread to an adjacent home, destroying a garage and damaging the residence.
The officers from the Gibson City Police Department and the Ford County Sheriff’s Department were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Firefighters returned to the scene for flare-ups on Sunday afternoon.
Illinois State Police said Jordan had not been located as of Sunday evening and had no updates.
