Sunday night’s concert by Megan Moroney broke an Illinois State Fair grandstand attendance record.
Fair officials report the crowd of 15,532 was about 100 more than the previous record set last year by Lil Wayne.
Rounding out the top five Illinois State Fair grandstand crowds are Jason Aldean with 15,329 seats in 2011, Florida Georgia Line in 2014 with 15,204 tickets sold, Reba McEntire with 14,823 in 2019 and Hootie and the Blowfish with 13,956 tickets sold in 1995.
