A teenager from Virden died Tuesday in a one-vehicle accident on Virden Road just outside that city.
Macoupin County Coroner Anthony Kravanya said 16-year-old Nolan Kiel was operating a farm implement and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before noon Tuesday.
A Facebook post from the North Mac school district said counselors will be available when the school term begins on Monday.
