A Springfield man has been arrested for DUI in which he had his 2-year-old daughter in the back seat of his vehicle. The incident took place this past Thursday.
Authorities observed 34-year-old Malik J. Stennis driving a white Chrysler 300 northbound on South 11th Street near Princeton Avenue around 4:23 p.m.
Authorities said Stennis was swerving between lanes and nearly struck a curb, creating a hazard for other drivers.
Stennis consented to a to a portable breath test, revealing a blood alcohol concentration of 0.313.
Stennis has been charged with Driving Under the Influence, Endangering the Life or Health of a Child and Aggravated DUI for operating a vehicle without liability insurance.
