Jacksonville Police served a warrant on a man from Mexico, Missouri on Tuesday.
While the warrant was being served nearby schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution.
The suspect who was found at 356 State St. surrendered willingly. After the suspect was detained the nearby schools returned to normal operations.
