According to Springfield Police a student was hit by a car while walking to school in the 1700 block of Washington Wednesday morning.
Authorities say the student who suffered from road rash proceeded to school and then went to see the school’s nurse. That is when the incident was called in.
The student was then taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
